With over 40 years of international experience in information technology and natural resource industries, Mark has held senior executive roles at IBM and Unisys. Over the last 15 years, he has focused on consulting in agriculture, pulp and paper, and supply chain management. His expertise lies in developing green business models and managing projects that replace outdated, polluting technologies with environmentally friendly solutions. His work has taken him across China, Korea, Indonesia, the Caribbean, and Africa.
Kevin is a seasoned agronomist and farmer in Trelawny Parish, managing over 450 acres, including the Jamaican Corrections Food Supply Garden. Formerly a lecturer at a local agricultural college, Kevin specializes in growing yams and hot peppers. He plans to shift from synthetic fertilizers to organic practices using biochar in ECO Park systems.
Dr. Mitchell brings over 32 years of experience in plant cloning and biotechnology commercialization. She is Jamaica’s leading expert on bamboo and biochar, serving as Chair of the Jamaican Bamboo Standards Committee and a board member of the Bamboo Industry Association. With a deep background in plant tissue culture and product development, she supervises PhD candidates in plant propagation, medicine, and nutraceuticals. Her recent work focuses on sustainable agriculture and commercialization of bio-based products.
Angela is a seasoned scientist with over two decades of hands-on expertise in aquatic biology, animal husbandry, and environmental monitoring. Skilled in field and laboratory methodologies, advanced instrumentation, regulatory compliance, and science communication, with significant experience in both national and international research environments.
Mario holds a MSc in Land Management from the University of Munich and oversees his family’s plantation growing five bamboo species. He specializes in rural and urban land development, particularly adjacent to nature reserves and eco-tourism corridors, and promotes sustainable wild-plant harvesting.
Preben has over 40 years of experience in large-scale project management, as an author, auditor and management consultant with KPMG, KPMG Consulting, BearingPoint, and PwC. Preben has experience in natural resource management and cooperatives in Canada, Mexico, and Norway.
Phoebe has undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Human Physiology, and a diploma and Masters Degree in Aquaculture. She taught basic adult education for 15 years and designed and taught a 10 month Aquaculture program at a BC college. She was Fish Health Biologist for a BC fish food company and later managed a salmon farm. Phoebe will direct aquaculture, water quality and testing, rleated training programs and the development of the nature trails in the nature reserves.
